C. Mike Lindsey

Director of Operations & Anesthesia Technician

C. Mike enjoys dirty jobs and solving interesting problems. In 2009, he graduated from the University of Rochester after completing a self-designed “Integrative Neurobiology” program, studying animal behavior across the disciplines of biology, neuroscience, psychology, ecology, evolution, and linguistics.

While contemplating vet school, he tested the waters as a receptionist at a primary, emergency and specialty care facility in Washington, DC. During this time, he also volunteered weekly at the National Zoo’s hospital and pathology lab.

C. Mike moved to NYC in 2014 and began working at a specialty hospital as a technician in the Emergency and Surgery Departments. He eventually became the Director of Development & Client Advocacy, building a staff training program, managing client relations, launching a marketing campaign, and consulting on business strategy.

Parallel with his veterinary path, C. Mike has pursued other work interests in hospitality, urban agriculture, and sustainable design. His current side project is a restorative culinary training program that equips marginalized individuals such as the formerly incarcerated with skills to find meaningful work in the food industry.
